Rochelle has worked in Australia’s aid program since 2005 and has extensive experience across the Pacific in a range of sectors including law and justice, policing, gender and governance. Rochelle has undertaken postings in Solomon Islands and Indonesia with AusAID/DFAT. Prior to coming to Fiji Rochelle was in DFAT’s Gender Equality Brand and ran the office for Australia’s Ambassador for Women and Girls. Rochelle has qualifications in law and Social Work and prior to working in the aid program Rochelle worked as a lawyer in refugee law and on Australian government policy reform related to free trade agreements. Rochelle has also spent a year as a volunteer in Thailand working with the Ministry of Labour on issues to do with pay equity.
