Tupou Vere

Tupou is an experienced women’s human rights defender with extensive experience of advancing women’s empowerment and gender equality interests.

Tupou worked in civil society, the Fiji government, UN Women and the House of Sarah. As a civil servant, Tupou was actively involved in the preparations for Fiji’s ratification of CEDAW, negotiations of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action and the development of Fiji’s first National Plan of Action for Women.
